Barn Quilt Top

I'm finished with the top for my Barn Quilt-OK, obviously not a quilt, but a wall hanging.
When I saw the fabric I used for the border, I knew it was made for my barn quilt, doesn't it make you think "Barn!"?

The blue gingham just makes me happy and I wanted something between the barn border and the blocks so the reds weren't all next to each other.
Now the final dilemma. How do I quilt it? I laid out some thread like I'm doing a diagonal cross hatch, but I'm not sure. My FMQ is mostly feathers and flowers and swirls, not what I want this time! What do you think?

  2. I like your idea for laying out the quilting! Have you seen those cute nested churn dash blocks people are doing? It's so cute. Just bought the pattern from Craftsy...

  3. Such a fun quilt! I think that fmq that looks like wood grain would be great, at least for part of it. It's a pretty simple design.

    1. I love that idea! I will have to check online to see what I can find, and then see if it is in my limited area of abilities! Thanks!
