Flower Quilt!

Since I didn't fall in love with that other baby quilt, and even though my daughter didn't ask for another one, I just took all the scraps and made another quilt!

I embroidered on some flowers to give it a focal point.

I didn't have quite enough pink polka dot fabric for the back, so I put some more of the scraps together and pieced the back.

I quilted it all over with this flower design. I made rows of these flowers up and down the center and put one of these in each of the blocks in the border. I like this quilt much better - it just seems more like a baby quilt (instead of a decoration) and you know what? It was made from scraps and went together much more quickly. Sometimes simple really is better!
