Look at the great fabric I found yesterday for the back of my quilt!
As soon as I saw this fabric it was like it jumped off the shelf and into my arms, it is exactly right for the back of my quilt! I love polka dots! I was chattering on about how great it was, and showing my 16 year old daughter. She said, "Mom, it's kind of weird that fabric makes you so happy." Am I the only one? I don't think so!! I'm dying for comments here to show my daughter that I'm not weird! If you never leave comments on blogs, please leave one anyway!! If you sometimes or often leave comments on blogs, I'm begging you!! Even if this post is old when you read it, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT! Comments make my day, they really do. I don't understand why I can have hundreds of people look at my blog and not leave a comment. It makes me wonder if they all got here by accident and quickly moved on to something else. Comments are what make blogging fun, and fabric makes me happy. Does fabric make you happy?
Uh...no, you aren't the only one. Tell her to sit down, then show her this!

I loved your fabric and I can see why you were so excited! Have a great weekend!
Not weird at all. She just doesn't understand a quilters mind. Don't worry, my family does not get the excitement either.
ReplyDeleteI love fabrics too, but I might still be more excited about the project I can make with the fabric than the fabric itself.
ReplyDeleteFabrics make me very, very happy. I often have times where I will play with them and sniff them and rub them, I might sound weird now, but they rock my life.
ReplyDeleteNo indeed you are not alone: I love the look, feel, smell and the potential of fabric. That's why I have a room full!
ReplyDeleteI love the red and yellow quilt you are working on! I limit myself on stashing without a project in mind except for American Jane stuff. When I find some of that in a quilt shop I feel like I have hit paydirt!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely fabric and specifically colour makes me happy, so I'm with you Jeanna. :>)
ReplyDeleteI think I have some fabric like that, it's great!

You said "even if it was later" so I got to your blog thru the Janome group today.
ReplyDeleteFabric lust is just another addiction--lots of us share it.
The ggod thing is that we can actually DO someting with it for ourselves and others. Love pettign the bolts and feeling the super smoothness of nice fabric.
Just saw this post - of course we love fabric! This is a really cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteJust got to watch your videos (thanks for the info, love my horizon, but really have trouble sometimes getting things to turn out the right size), and had to read your other posts, tell her "no, I am not the only one" and to watch out, the bug just may get her, too....

No, you're not the only one who loves fabric. I love it so much I can hardly cut into it, I stroke it and iron it, fold it and put it back on the shelf, its too gorgeous to cut. Came by your blog as I was searching for info about 1/4 inch seams on my Janome Horizon 8900, your blog popped up and I've been reading and admiring your sewing.
