I just had to do a few other little projects since this is my first granddaughter! I embroidered these little onesies for her, I know there will be more of these in my future!
I also made a nice big receiving blanket. I bought a yard and a half of two coordinating fabrics and then folded them diagonally to make a square and cut off the rest. I used a bowl to trace rounded corners and trimmed that.
I sewed the two layers right sides together, leaving a 6 inch gap for turning. After turning them right side out, I then stitched around the edges with a serpentine stitch.
And I had enough left to make 3 burp cloths (the third is from the left over flannel of the butterfly quilt)! After 3 grandsons, I'm enjoying making some pink things!!
