I wanted to show you something I did with my daughter! She had some of those roller shades, you know the boring white ones that you pull down, and then give a little tug and they roll back up? We covered some to match the other curtains in her family room!
Doesn't that look great? I wish I had a before picture, but I guess you will have to take my word for it that this is SUCH an improvement! We did two windows like this to go with her large bay window that has drapes out of this fabric.
It really was pretty simple! We found the idea and instructions HERE. It is a relaxed Roman shade. I just wanted to pass this along. It turned out so well. We thought maybe you would like to give it a try!
Have a wonderful day!
Clever! What a perfect way to continue the look!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Great idea, and it looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a change from boring old roller blinds - I've got to try this!
ReplyDeleteI like it! My blinds could sure use an update!

Thanks for stopping by Val!
DeleteIt does look good, Jeanna. I don't know if it's just me, but I think roll up shades are way too tacky sometimes. It's really nice that you made some nice Roman shades for your daughter's room. That would definitely give the windows some personality. Great job! :D
