I learned a few things about myself - I don't know why it surprised me, it should have been a no-brainer.
#1. I sew much slower when I am talking and laughing.
#2. I make a lot more mistakes when I am having fun with friends.
#3. A pool table is a great working surface to spread out all your "stuff". Who knew?
You know my AQF (amazing quilting friend) that I have talked about many times? Well, she designed a pattern for a bag to carry around hand work, and it is amazing!
We are the test group. See this adorable, handy bag? It features clear zipper pouches to store your work and supplies. See the papers I slipped out? There are pockets behind to store patterns! Now how handy dandy is that?
This is mine in progress... What do you think? We are working on them again tomorrow, come on over!
I actually checked your profile to see where you are! I'm SO in need of a while away! Loved this blog post! Those are some great things you learned about yourself - I'll have to remember that for my retreat next month!
ReplyDeleteNaughty, naughty, Jeanna! You need to put a big sheet over the pool table first, or there will be threads all over it. We have a pool table that gets used every month at our quilting group meet, and even covered, some threads still sneak up and land on the cloth.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having a great time!!!
