Girl Baby Quilts

OK, check two things off my list!

Besides getting all caught up on the quilt I'm making for quilt class, I finished two baby girl quilts!

I wanted to get a picture of both of them together after they were finished, but wouldn't you know one of the babies was born early, so I had to take picture of one finished, and the other half quilted...

This is a pattern I picked up in the dollar bin at a cute little quilt shop in Gardner's Village in Salt Lake.  The pattern is called "Clay's Day at the Zoo", a big block baby quilt by Sandy Workman.

I didn't put the rick rac on it, but I loved this cute fabric by Riley Blake.

I tried a couple of different quilting designs that I haven't used before.

I don't know why, but I love this binding!!  OK, on to my next project...

  1. I love the fabric and the simpicity of the design. I am sure the new mother will appreciate the "girliness" of the quilt. Good Job. Ruth Ann
