WIP Basket Case

Ever had one of those projects that you thought you might never finish, even though you felt like you were diligently working on it constantly? I love this pattern, and it was fun to do, but it seemed like I just wasn't getting ahead. Now, finally, I have all the piecing done.
Here's a shocker for you! This is going to be a quilt we actually use! Not a wall hanging or table runner or gift for someone else! What a novel idea (isnt' that pitiful of me?). I made two extra blocks so I can make some throw pillows. I still have two borders, and the quilting and binding of course, but I'm done with the part that takes me forever.
I have to say I LOVE my walking foot! It makes it so easy to match up all the corners. It used to be that no matter how carefully I pinned, things would shift after they got under the foot, and I felt like I was always holding my breath when I opened the pieces to see if the points or corners matched up. YIPPEE! I can't believe I sewed for all those years without a walking foot!!
