Then I happened to see this clock, and I fell in love. The clock hunt began!
My talented and amazing quilting and wood working friend helped me to make a clock in my favorite color...
We even personalized it, you can't really tell in this picture, but toward the top it says "Est. 1985" and toward the bottom is my last name.
I collected clocks for several months, and leaned them up against the fireplace. My entire family made fun of me.
My husband said he was starting to feel like we lived in the beginning scene of "Back to the Future" ...
My amazing friend had the idea that I could paint this buffet that I inherited from my grandmother, so we stripped and painted it. I use the term "we" very loosely, it was mostly my friend, :)
This is the "before" picture.
And this is the "after". I do not do it justice in this picture, but I love my new clock wall!!
I love this idea! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi Im Michelle. I have a clock fetish. They all aren't on one wall, but there are clocks on many walls, and in every room....at least one, most times, at least 2...and some rooms more! Your wall looks fabulous, and so does your revamped cabinet.
ReplyDeleteOh how neat! I love the red clock. Love it all! Looks so cozy!
ReplyDeleteWow, great idea, I really like your wall!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
